Team: Membership Team (Small Business Sub-team)
Reports to: Membership Manager
Location: Remote (within U.S.) or Burlington, VT
1% for the Planet is headquartered in Burlington, Vermont. For this position, we welcome U.S.-based candidates who are either remote or in-person. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.no employer sponsorship offered at this time.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting Salary (Hiring Range)

$47,100-$52,000/year
This job-specific range is based on third-party industry benchmarked compensation structure. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.

Benefits

The Job:

The Account Coordinator will support the Membership Team by acting as a member of our Small Business sub-team dedicated to supporting thousands of 1% for the Planet small business members. Although this person will service all members via email, this role will be specifically responsible for oversight of a defined geographic region of members as assigned by the team management.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication and customer service skills. This person can work well in a team to support a large number of accounts while remaining focused on long-term objectives. 1% for the Planet supports all staff members to grow professionally with us, so we seek candidates with a growth mindset and an orientation toward continual improvement.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Provide best-in-class customer service, including answering questions using a shared inbox (Hiver), assist with certification support, sending mail merges, occasionally advising on giving strategy for members, and representing the benefits and values of membership
  • Comfortable with posting in organization’s Slack channels, speaking and leading member centered virtual events, and taking member calls when necessary. 
  • Know the ins and outs of our organization, its policies, and its systems
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams on projects and key initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account data in Salesforce
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce and Hubspot) reports and dashboards to serve member region of responsibility and daily tasks
  • Coordinate with other sub-teams to ensure connectivity and representation of small business members across regional and global work
  • Navigate change in a growing organization and support the development and scaling of long-term systems and processes to support our small business members            

Knowledge, skills and abilities:               

  • A passion and enthusiasm for account management, customer service and mission-driven work
  • Experience in account management or high-volume customer service 
  • 1 to 2 years related professional experience or undergraduate degree
  • Strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with members remotely and/or in-person, may need to attend in-person events, will host virtual member events.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and streamline workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Ability to coordinate work between multiple systems in a day
  • Comfortable and effective working independently in a remote work environment
  • Flexible and comfortable with change/fast growth
  • Comfortable speaking with members over the phone and video conferencing services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience in Salesforce and HubSpot (preferred)
